ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery, established to support young artists and designers, welcomes the New Year with States of Material 2 exhibition hosted from 22 January to 27 March 2014.

The first States of Material organized back in 2012, received a lot of attention and it is bringing artists and designers together under Collaboration, production and interdisciplinary aspect titles. The artworks and products, created with the collaboration of artists and designers have been put together in a period of over 3 months.

The exhibition that focuses on collaboration of different disciplines; many materials like leather, wood, silver, marble, copper, paper and textile, enrich the project.

The gallery’s coordinator and the curator for the exhibition ŞanelŞan talks about the starting point of the exhibition: “The works exhibited in the gallery within ARMAGGAN, a luxury design and production brand, have specially designed for the exhibition just like the specially designed products of the brand.

In the exhibition, there are works by more than 50 artists and designers with different techniques but parallel artistic views; who uses different materials. And these works are put out by 24 group and 7 individual efforts. The works and the products prepared specially by combining designers’ control of production process with the artists’ understanding of aesthetics come together at ARMAGGAN Art&Design Gallery.
